Title: KINKS
Designer: jen595liang
Firm: Art Institute of California - OC

Description: Though we try to walk a straight path in life, more often than not, we are forced to change course, take a detour and encounter diversions. The KINKS collection expresses these detours through the graphic of altered linear elements. KINKS are put in these elements representing the many and varied hiccups we experience along any path through life. This pattern creates a geometric yet organic flow while allow for various color blocking options in its striping.

Very unique - the lines and colors are so atypical. The black is extremely interesting. I would love to see this made.

I'm attracted to the lines and how the changes directions. I would like to see how I could incorporate this into my home. It is using colors I like.

This design creatively brings the design of a room to a different level. I like the way it contrasts with the other linear lines. Drawing the eye forward puts an edge to a simple design.

This style would be an absolutely fantastic hallway running pattern. Offset an edge with stone or wood to bring a bit of organic to it, beautiful.
